Nice soft but sturdy fabric. Has plenty of room for pet. Very comfortable shoulder strap. This is a 2yr rescue who has never been carried around, but she loves sitting in your lap and I think she loves the carrier! This was the 2nd time in it and she was very comfortable. She weighs about 8lbs
